Nkem begins to experience strange marks on his arm, glowing in the dark, and haunting whispers in his dreams. Seeking help, he turns to Nneka, a priestess, who reveals that the entity Eze served is trying to bind itself to Nkem as its new vessel. She offers him a protective amulet and prepares a ritual to sever the bond.
As the entity grows more aggressive, Nkem flees to the shrine for sanctuary. There, Nneka performs a powerful ritual, sacrificing her life to sever the bond and banish the entity. Though Nkem is freed from the immediate threat, he knows the darkness isn’t entirely gone and that it may return someday. The village mourns Nneka’s loss but views Nkem with a mix of reverence and unease, marking him as a survivor of the supernatural conflict.
