Assay TV hears from Mako Gold’s (ASX: MKG) managing director and founder Peter Ledwidge. He gives an overview of his long experience in West Africa, before discussing why Mako Gold is focused on Côte d’Ivoire. He explains that the maiden resource estimate for the company’s Napié Gold Project will be released in June 2022. The project features a 30km shear hosting dilational zones, and Peter expects there to be 2M oz of gold at the property within the next few years.

He then explains the company’s JV structure with West African gold developer and producer Perseus Mining (ASX: PRU) at Napié. Furthermore, Peter discusses how mining exploration in West Africa has changes since he first encountered the region in the 1990s.
