New Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston and members of his cabinet hold a news conference following a swearing-in ceremony at the Halifax Convention Centre. Houston was sworn in as the province's 30th premier and his new cabinet also took the oath of office. The Progressive Conservative Party formed government after winning a majority of seats in the August 17 provincial election.
