Climbing the iconic ice route up the centre of the North Face of Grandes Jorasses in Chamonix, France.
Lionel Clay & Alastair McDowell climbed the route over the first two days of spring, 22-23 March 2019.
Lean conditions on the face with much blue ice, but sufficient ice to link the central line of the Colton-MacIntyre with the Alexis variation on the second band, finishing via the normal CM route.
