The Indonesian Food Festival, organized by Indonesian Consulate General in Toronto, is an annual cultural celebration that brings together the vibrant Indonesian community in Toronto, Ontario. The festival aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Indonesian culture through food, music, dance, art and so much more.
This year, the Indonesian Food Festival was organized on 29 July 2023 from 10 AM - 5 PM at Yonge and Dundas Square, the busiest meeting point and the "heart' of Toronto.
It featured Indonesia's culinary diversity through more than 20 food stalls, tons of pre-packaged food products, batik, as well as handicraft products. Signature dishes, such as Beef Rendang and Satay were served at the festival.
The festival warmly welcomed everyone with traditional cultural and stage performances, as well as showcasing the enchanting tourist destinations in Indonesia. The traditional martial arts of "Pencak Silat", Bali and Javanese Gamelans, Saman Dance, Angklung, as well as contemporary music bands indulged the visitor's eyes and ears all day long.
