Nova Scotia's Premier Stephen McNeil and health officials provided an update on the province's ongoing response to COVID-19.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang announced five new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the province to 73.
He said most of the new cases are connected to travel or earlier cases. Adding that only one case cannot be connected to travel or previous cases at this point.
Dr. Strang also said that an investigation is ongoing to determine the exposure and that public health cannot confirm that the case is a result of community spread at this point.
Nova Scotia has declared a state of emergency and limited public gatherings of more than five people amid the coronavirus outbreak.
