Sometimes when Spanish or German or Italian friends see me, they say “Hey Neil, nice to meet you.” And that’s not completely correct. They should say “Hey Neil, nice to see you.” In this video, I’m going to explain the difference between the two expressions.
There are so many situations when you can use these phrases: in a business English meeting, at a business lunch or dinner, in a job interview, at a trade fair etc. Bit what is the difference between “Nice to meet you” and “Nice to see you”. And what is the difference between “Nice to meet you” and “It was nice to meet you” or “Nice meeting you.”; and “Nice to see you” and “It was nice to see you.” or “Nice seeing you.”
This can be confusing, but it doesn’t need to be. Just watch this English video tip and I will explain.
