A big chance arrives overnight across the Charlotte area with widespread rain impacting the morning commute. Rain will usher in for areas west of I-77 after midnight and spreading across the entire region by 4 a.m.
Although the rain tapers off after 8 a.m. Monday, prepare for a messy commute with rain early and slick spots on the roadways through much of the day.
Even though showers break up in the afternoon, we'll keep a 20% chance in for the rest of the day. Along with drizzle, watch for patchy fog Monday evening through Tuesday morning.
