At a time when many parents and schools are wrestling with how to talk about gender, can we have a thoughtful and civil conversation about this important but difficult topic?
There is confusion, misinformation, mixed messages, and a lack of the understanding needed to bring both sides together on a tough issue.
Our main speakers come from different sides of the same issue to discuss their own experiences and make sense of what can be done to protect the children and young adults who are trying to learn and grow within an often volatile educational environment. Rebecca Yuengling, Corrie Zech, and Joan Kahn each give voice to what average Americans have on their minds.
This event is hosted by We the People's Project, a Braver Angels initiative to bring together a diverse group of working-class Americans to build a house united in America. We hear from people who are often spoken of, but rarely spoken with, on the most important issues of the day. Learn more at www.braverangels.org/wpp. Braver Angels is a citizen's organization that brings Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.
