Starting at Dartmoor Inn car park we follow the River Lyd to the start of the Rattlebrook Peat Railway following the railway over Great Nodden before hiking down to Vellake Corner and crossing the bridge over the West Okement River where we head through Black-a-Tor copse and long the West Okement River filling our water bottles near Sandy Ford before heading up to Lints Tor to wild camp for the night.
In the morning in the claggy rain we cross over the West Okement River getting slightly wet feet before heading up the steep west side of the valley to Steng-a-Tor before visiting the new memorial stone for the crashed USNAF PB4Y-1 Liberator that has been erected since we last visited the crash site. After finding Kitty Tor we head to the Rattlebrook Peat Works and follow from the top of the Rattlebrook Railway back to the Dartmoor Inn.
