UPDATE 5.3.19: Death roll still happening, even after updating firmware to betaflight 4.0 (which has a higher (5.5) default idle value)). The most recent time it happened was during a punch-out.
UPDATE 2.22.19: So far, it looks like the cause of this is death roll is likely due to a very low throttle idle (min throttle) setting, and NOT the flight controller. =D Thanks to everyone for the helpful comments!

Got death roll issues? Me too! In this video let's look at the DVR from my 5"FPV quadcopter (Budget Basher) as it does uncontrolled rolls/tumbling into the ground. This quad is built around the Diatone Mamba F405 Flight Controller/ESC stack (30x30mm, 40Amp ESCs). I am also wondering if this could be fixed just by changing some of the FC settings (like ESC protocol, PID loop frequency, etc.). I will try to setup blackbox and investigate further and update this description when I have more info!
