The Latin American countries have added flavor to World Football since time immemorial, with consistent talent from the continent exciting fans across the globe. The recent commercial and organizational development of top competitions and clubs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico and are signs of the continental football following in the steps of Europe. Despite obvious issues with violent fans, Latin football has attracted many sponsors, companies and scouts alike. Is this a sign of Latin American football moving towards a European model of football – if yes, how will that effect the street football culture which breeds their talent?
