UPDATE MARCH 7, 10:45AM: Coast Guard officials Friday morning were back out searching for a missing crewman. An 87-foot patrol boat out of Mobile and a helicopter from New Orleans are searching.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The U.S. Coast Guard confirms crews are searching for a man overboard in the Gulf. Coast Guard officials say they have a helicopter and another aircraft searching about 50 miles south of Mobile Bay and Fort Morgan for 35-year-old Benjamin Sorrells. The missing man was on a commercial fishing boat. As of 10 p.m. Thursday they say they have not found the individual but are continuing their search.
