Every single one of the six LINT trainsets operating on this line rattles at least a little bit. I consider that to be normal, as for the most part it's the deflectors in the fluorescent light assemblies that rattle, and the metal outer shell on the destination signs. The cars don't tend to shake much if even at all.
The rattling heard on this set on this particular ride is definitely not normal, however. It's not possible to tell in the video, but the whole car was "vibrating" pretty bad too.
Probably the worst ride I've had on one of these since they were introduced just barely less than a year ago. For the record, it wasn't terribly cold outside this morning (probably around 20 degrees Fahrenheit). The old Bombardier Talent units these LINTs replaced lasted 14 years, and while they also made rattling noises none ever rattled quite this bad.
I don't really know what exactly is rattling. It sounds like the entire car body, or possibly even the exterior shell. Either way, it was far louder than what I would consider to be "fit for service".
