Saturday the national museum joins others around the world in celebrating International Museum Day.

It's a day when Communities are reminded of their past and celebrate their common heritage.

Locally, the day is commemorated with the traditional Museum Open Day - a day filled with fun activities, treasure hunts and competitions. The Open Day returns after a two-year absence.
