After India announced the ban on 59 Chinese mobile apps including TikTok, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lijian Zhao on Tuesday said that they were 'strongly concerned' about the notice and are currently verifying the situation. He further added that India has a responsibility to uphold the rights of Chinese businesses. Mobile app TikTok also released a statement saying it did not pass on any information about its users to any government including the Chinese government and would not do so in the future too.
