The all-electric Smart #5 is the latest addition to Smart's lineup, built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture platform, which it shares with the Zeekr X and Volvo EX30. Following the release of the slightly larger Smart Number 3 in 2023, the Smart #5 stands out as the largest model in the series.

Smart has introduced two new trims: the Summit Edition and Premium Plus. The Summit Edition also features an exclusive Adventurers Collection, which includes an electric trailer hitch, underbody protection, roof carrier, side steps, side bag, and a side ladder. Inside, the Smart #5 offers luxurious amenities such as front leather "zero-gravity" seats that recline up to 121 degrees, advanced airbags, and integrated seat belts.

Rear passengers are treated to heated leather seats with adjustable seatbacks, an electric sunshield, and airplane-style LED reading lights. The cabin offers 34 storage compartments, a 72-liter front trunk, and rear storage space that expands to 1,530 liters. The vehicle's technology includes a 25.6-inch Augmented Reality Head-up Display, a 10.3-inch Ultra HD instrument cluster, and two 13-inch AMOLED displays.

Powered by an 800-volt architecture, the Smart #5 has a 100-kilowatt-hour battery that can charge from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes, offering a range of up to 460 miles under the Chinese CLTC testing regime.
