Here we see a historic day on the West Coast Mainline featuring three of the finest LMS locomotives West Coast Railway Company has to offer!
First off we see Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust's LMS 8P No. 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' double-heading with Chris Beet's LMS Jubilee No. 45690 'Leander', travelling to Barrow Hill Roundhouse for their LMS themed open day. I am led to believe that this is the first time this pair has been sent mainline together in preservation.
The second shot is of LMS Royal Scot No. 46115 'Scots Guardsman' hauling the final day of The Lakes Express to London Euston, passing into vaguely familiar territory, being one of only a few trips it has made to the capital.
