Dr. Rich shows a close up view of removing a silver amalgam filling with a high speed dental drill and replacing it with a white filling. In addition to the high speed handpiece, he uses a slow speed dental drill. Clean and Boost by Vista/Apex is used to clean the cavity prep. Dental bonding agent is Surpass by Vista/Apex. The flowable composite that is used is Titan by Vista/Apex, shade A2. Vitalessence by Ultradent, shade Pearl Frost is the final layer of the composite filling. Seamfree lubricant and wetting agent by Vista/Apex is used to aid in adapting the composite to the tooth. Valo Grand curing light by Ultradent is used to cure the bonding agent and the composites. Jiffy polisher by Ultradent is used as the final step.
