Three IAS aspirants died after the basement of Rau's IAS Study Circle in West Delhi's Rajendra Nagar flooded, which was being used as a library in violation of norms. The basement, eight feet below ground, quickly filled with water, trapping several students. Despite a seven-hour rescue operation, Tania Soni, Shreya Yadav, and Navin Delvin could not be saved. The coaching centre's building plan falsely indicated the basement was a storeroom, violating the No Objection Certificate (NOC). Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has ordered strict action against violating coaching institutes and to investigate any MCD officer's involvement. The owner, Abhishek Gupta, and coordinator, Deshpal Singh, were arrested amid local protests.
