Trip report of flight KL871 from Amsterdam Schipol airport to Delhi's Indira Ghandi airport. The 747-400ER is fitted with KLM's new (ish) World Business Class cabin, much improved from the old one.

On this flight I was on the 747's iconic upperdeck in seat 77K. The upperdeck is a really special place, so calm and private compared to any cabin on the main deck. The bed is a true 180 degree lie-flat and has decent width and is an impressive 2 metres long ( far easier to stretch out then on BA's club bed ).

The food and beverage is average to good, the wine and champagne are limited in choices whilst the food is very hit and miss. I was served a good starter but a really awful main course.
Staff are generally helpful, however they do have a habit of going AWOL after food service, so good luck with that champagne refill.

All in all a good 6/10 flight.
