Though they sound little alike, Riley Puckett's versatility reminds me of Tommy Duncan; both can do old-time, rapid fire auctioneer-like shouting ("Soldier's Joy" and "Ida Red" respectively) as well as croonier pop material ("I Get the Blues When It Rains" and "Time Changes Everything"). The difference between the two, I think, is mainly that Puckett's voice was massive as a redwood, whereas Duncan was more subdued.
The final image in the slide is from a t-shirt of Riley Puckett and Gid Tanner put out by Elderly, which I will be ordering soon.
