On December 26, 2014, a loaded coal train is northbound on the Canadian Pacific in Ottumwa, Iowa as it goes up the 1.5+% grade of Rutledge Hill. The unit freight is going to the Muscatine Power and Water power plant at Muscatine, Iowa. This train came from the BNSF with two locomotives up front, two distributed power units on the end, and two mid-train DPUs. BNSF recently started delivering coal trains to CP this way so they could go up Rutledge Hill in one piece. Previously, these coal train would be split into two or three cuts to get up the hill ([ Ссылка ]).
Both of the mid-train DPUs are cream and green Executive MACs. The second one is the last MAC ever painted in this scheme.
At 3:00, a BNSF coal train is seen on the left side of the screen waiting for the CP coal train to clear the diamond crossing so it can continue going east again.
