Conceived of as a five-movement symphonic form for extended drum-set, The Crossing at Wisdom Bridge was improvised in performance. It is thus a quasi-composed improvisation, realized by Phil Treloar in Kanazawa, Japan, August 2006.
The piece is here in its entirety followed by an improvised marimba encore. The two pieces together stand as the second half of a concert presentation. Elsewhere on this YouTube channel you'll find movements four and five, extracted from the present document.
