In this video I show how to prepare butter peas for freezing.
I show how to use a ZipLoc vacuum bag and a non-electric vacuum pump to remove the air from the bag.
Removing the air will prevent freezer burn and the freezer taste that vegetables will sometime develop.
The pump and bags can be bought as a kit or you can buy re-fill bags alone.
I ordered the re-fill bags on line because I didn’t find them at any local store.
The bags can be washed and re-used.
