The Highly Enthusiastic Crowd at Le Stade Olympique de la Pontaise is rewarded with the Electrifying Excitement of the Women's 400m Hurdles.
The event was scheduled to start at 20:03 (local time), the temperature was 19°C (66.2°F), the City of Lausanne is located at an elevation of 526m (1,726ft), on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman).
The event featured eight athletes, seven of them Tokyo 2020 Olympians: Leah Nugent (Jamaica), one Olympic Semi-Finalist: Lea Sprunger (Switzerland), five Olympic Finalists: Viktoriya Tkachuk (Ukraine) and her compatriot Anna Ryzhykova, Janieve Russell (Jamaica), the Olympic Bronze Medalist Femke Bol (Netherlands), and the Olympic Silver Medalist Dalilah Muhammad (USA).
Former Texas A&M Aggie Shamier Little (USA) and Femke Bol (Netherlands) reached the last hurdle together, but, Little couldn't match Bol's momentum to the Finish Line.
The Dutch Superstar crossed the Finish Line in a time of 53.05s a Meet Record, an increase in time of 1.960% with respect to her Personal Best of 52.03 (Olympic Bronze Medal-winning time).
