Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko is in Melbourne today to commemorate Ukrainian Independence Day alongside members of the community.
The day commemorates the independence of Ukraine in 1991 from Soviet rule.
It comes six months on from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with the day taking on a whole new meaning.
