Your 7 a.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Dec. 22, 2024:
The first weekend of the winter season has brought the snow and cold so far. Sunday we can just focus on the cold. Lingering lake snow showers will shut off by late morning. Slick spots are still possible if you plan to hit the roads, especially east. High pressure will be sliding in from the west decreasing cloud coverage through the afternoon. Highs will only top out into the upper 20s. Fortunately, wind chill won't be too much of an issue.
Going into your Christmas week there will be a couple storm systems worth watching. The first arriving Monday. Latest timing has moisture moving in after sunset. A rain/snow mix will be likely. Temperatures will remain above freezing through Tuesday morning.
