Punjabi Makki Ki Rotis are soft flatbreads made from cornmeal, they're gluten free and pair beautifully with any palak (spinach) recipe or with sarson ka saag. Made on a tawa or skillet for smokiness, the bread is so easy to make and makes a delightful change to traditional rotis and naans.
Our recipe makes 6 rotis, but it can be easily scaled up or down. Give it a go, they're quick to make and oh so yummy, you'll definitely be going back for more!

• 1 cup of coarse cornmeal
• ¼ teaspoon of salt
• Boiling water
• A little cooking oil
• A little butter
