It’s National Farm Animals Day. From 2022 Census of Agriculture: California’s livestock farmers and ranchers produced $16 billion in sales. California is 3rd in the US behind Texas and Iowa. California led the nation in milk sales with $9.7 billion. Sales of cattle and calves totaled $3.7 billion; poultry and eggs totaled $2.2 billion; sheep, goats, wool, mohair, and milk totaled $89 million. Equine totaled $57 million, and hogs and pigs totaled $29 million.
