The Specific Carbohydrate Diet for IBD involves cutting off complex carbohydrates in grains and starchy vegetables and instead increasing intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, poultry, eggs, fish, honey, nuts, lentils, split peas, old cheeses, lactose free yogurts and fats and oils.
