In this video I reveal an NOS straight that I have had in my collection since 2011 and have never used. This is the Thiers-Issard 6/8" 1/4 hallow straight razor that uses NOS Le Grelot carbon steel blanks. The Le Grelot factory closed down and Thiers-Issard was able to purchase their last remaining blanks. These razors are rare now and if you happen to find one I would recommend you snatch it up because they are truly great shavers! Carbon steel holds edges very well but of course the trade off is you'll need to rehone it more often than you would a stainless steel blade.
