With a full redesign, the new 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is set to make the General's best-selling SUV a much more athletic-looking vehicle. For now, the Equinox is ICE-powered only but an all-electric version is set to come later in 2024. With that in mind, let's look at the three different trims available on the gas-powered compact SUV that's coming to a dealer near you soon. For those looking for an expanded lineup, you're not going to be pleased with the idea of only three trims for the ICE-motivated 2025 Equinox. The LT, Activ, and RS are all you're going to get for Chevrolet's most popular SUV. The great news is that each trim is substantially different from each other and offer three different experiences between them. All Equinox trims will get the 175 hp, 1.5-liter turbocharged I-4 with a CVT as standard and driving only the front wheels. AWD is available for all trims and that option increases its towing capacity up to 1,500 pounds, and upgrades the transmission to a more traditional eight-speed automatic. First up is the "bare bones" level of Equinox, the LT. It comes with a unique grille and front-end design. Well, a design difference as the Bow Tie emblem is in the classic gold treatment, the mustache bar is silver, and the lower grille near the valence is traditional GM. While it is the lowest-tier trim, you're still able to get the Equinox LT in a two-tone with the roof being a different color from the rest of the body, and you can order one with a panoramic sunroof.
