Remote Wipe: This is the only product of its kind that has this capability. Yes, the SecureDrive BT is secure if you lose it as long as that person does not know your pin/password, but if it were to be lost or stolen with the possibility that someone would know your password - remote wipe would come in handy. Basically when executing the remote wipe function, a signal is sent to our server, which then sends the remote wipe command to your drive at the moment someone attempts to unlock it. This way you can ensure your data can never be read.

Password Recovery: If you forget your password on any other hardware encrypted drive (from a user standpoint) then your information is lost. There is no other way to change your password if you don't remember the original one. Our drive however has a forgot password option. So in the event that your forget, you can have a code sent to your cell phone that will help you reset your password. This is great because in today's world everyone as so many passwords. It certainly can be hard to keep track.

Step Away Lock - This is not exactly the same as geo-fencing: With this feature, it is more about the proximity of your connected mobile device to the hard drive. We do offer Geo-fencing and Time-fencing as well as remote unlock, but only for hard drives being paired with our Remote Management console. Good news, though: you can add Remote Management to a SecureDrive BT at any time.
