Here's a Hillbilly How To for y'all that will make your beach trips a heck of a lot easier. We call this thing the Lil' Billy. I modified this cheap cooler by taking the original axle/wheels off the cart and replacing them with bigger wheels. I then moved those original wheels to the front by mounting some wood and cutting a groove to were the original axle was placed. The newer, larger wheels were simply placed on an axle with some PVC and hardware. I screwed some straps underneath the cooler to secure the new axle in place. The straps attached to the side of the cooler by adding a washer to the end of the strap and folding it over on itself (melted down to secure the washer). Placed a hole in the strap for the washer to engage a screw on the side. 8 fishing rod holders were added along the sides that are always used and filled with large shark set ups, so they definitely withstand some weight. The inside has a divider (cutting board), some elastic straps for pliers/tools, and a pouch for anything else. Stickered out for some quality points.
This thing easily gets through some thick sand and can carry a good amount of weight. I use it a few times a week and would guess it carries between 50-100 pounds with ease.
If y'all have any questions just let me know.
