This video gives an overview of the U.S. Army’s Civil Affairs. Army Civil Affairs is mostly composed of reservists, with roughly 10% of them actually being active duty. The Civil Affairs training pipeline is much different for active duty soldiers than for their reservist counterparts.
Civil Affairs soldiers are given language training, become Airborne qualified, and are considered special operations in the Army. The reservists, however, are considered conventional and work in conventional settings. If you want to know more about Civil Affairs training, their requirements, their mission, and Civil Affairs Officers, then watch this video!
