An Air Quality Alert that was issued across all of Northeast Ohio has been extended through the day Thursday in multiple counties, which include Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit.
“Everyone may experience health effects during this period and should check air quality readings at airnow.gov,” according to the alert. “Members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects and should limit outdoor activity.”
Those classified as “sensitive groups” include children, the elderly and people with breathing difficulties.
