This is my nixie kitchen timer, designed and made in year 2015.
As in video I wanted something that I can type numbers into nixies, I thought a calculator was too much, and chose timer as my project.
This particular timer in the video has been in everyday use in my kitchen since December 2015, without any failure.

Tubes are B-5991(8422) and IN-12, both of which I got hold of in autumn 2015.
The nixie timer is in fact much more convenient to use than I expected. I realized that nixies are far more legible than now-more-common 7-segment displays, which helps me a lot while I'm cooking multiple dishes in parallel and I need to check the remaining time in just a glance.

The design of the timer is not meant to be an aesthetic masterpiece, but I wish I could at least get some other membrane keypad that suits better with nixies. The keypad in the video is the only well-constructed one I have obtained so far.
