Diwali Special Snack | Bhakarwadi Recipe | Non Fried And Sugar Free

Diwali is that time of the year when your diet plan and exercise schedule go for a toss. But today I ' m coming with a very tempting bhakhar vadi recipe which is sugar free and non fried.
Try these healthy versions of the famous snack and have a healthy and guilt free diwali.
In one blender jar add
1 tbsp of fennel seeds
1 tbsp of white sesame seeds
2 tbsp of desiccated coconut
You can use fresh shredded coconut as well .
1 tbsp of amchur powder
1 tsp of dry ginger powder
1 tsp of dry garlic powder
5 tbsps of jaggery powder, if you are using sugar then add 4 tbsp of sugar.
1 tsp of dhania jeera powder
½ tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of salt
½ tsp of garam masala powder
1 tbsp of cumin powder
Pinch of asafetida
1 tsp of rec chili powder
2 tbsp of gram flour or besan sev
Pinch of chat masala.
Grind well and make fine powder
Now transfer this spice mix in one bowl ,stir well with a spoon. Now add dates and tamarind chutney little by little by mixing well. I have added a total 4 tbsp of chutney ., and keep the bhakarwadi filling aside.
Other side in one bowl takes 1 cup of all purpose flour and 2 tbsp of chickpea flour .Sieve well.sieve the flours -is a mandatory step when you are making bhakarwadi in the oven.
Now I am adding 1 spoon of salt,½ tsp of baking powder, a pinch of asafoetida and ½ tsp of turmeric powder.mix well with the spoon.
Now I am adding hot oil in a flour mix.i am adding 2 spoons of oil .again i am adding 2 spoons of oil to the flour.
Add oil till we can hold shape.
Add water little by little and knead the dough.we want not to much soft and not to much hard dough for bhakarwadi
Dough is ready ,cover with cling wrap and give 15 mins rest to the dough..
After 15 mins remove cling wrap and knead the dough once .Devide the dough in 4 equal parts.
Now preheat the oven to 350 'fahrenheit and also keep ready your baking tray lined with parchment paper .
Take one part and brush the rolling board with oil.roll out thin. Brush with some water.
Spread prepared filling .press with your hand to keep filling in place. Even out the surface of filling with a rolling pin. Roll in from the corners and until the end to get a cylindrical roll.
Press well on the top.use knife or cutter and cut them in ¼ inch sized pieces pinwheels.
Press gently with your two fingers.Arrange the filled bhakarwadi on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.apply oil on bhakarwadi rolls
Bake the bhakarwadi for about 35 to 40 minutes or until brown and crispy.during this 30 minutes of baking time ,at every 10 mins remove the baking tray from the oven, flip it over all bhakarwadi and again put the tray back in the oven.
You can see bhakarwadi are ready -transfer this bhakarwadi on the cooling rack,letting them cool down completely .
