Pride in London is a grand carnival and the parade is a celebration of hope and unity among people of all genders, sexualities and races. June is celebrated as the Pride month worldwide to raise awareness about equality, respect and tolerance for the LGBT+ community. The Pride celebrates its golden jubilee this year and has moved online amid the pandemic- celebrated as Global Pride- www.globalpride2020.org

But problems abound in society. In May 2019, two women were beaten in a bus in London in a homophobic assault. In May 2020, the murder of George Floyd has highlighted again how minorities, be it in race, religion, gender and sexual identities are treated in the society. It is time to reshape our thinking and accept people for who they are.
