The US Biden administration has released a report trying to land the “blame” for the country’s withdrawal from Afghanistan on the Trump administration – however, there’s “still plenty of blame to go around”, says Sky News US contributor Michael Ware.
“They emboldened the Taliban – they made a deal with the Taliban,” he told Sky News Australia.
“They set a date for withdrawal, and when they left office with three months of that date for withdrawal coming, there was absolutely no plan for that withdrawal.
“So yes, there is a lot of faults they’re trying to land at the steps of the Trump administration, but there’s still plenty of blame to go around.”
