Sungai Air Terjun “delivers" cool, clear and clean water, from the central highlands water catchment area (WCA) on Penang Island, to the waterfall in the Penang Botanical Gardens.
Raw water from this waterfall has been tapped for water supply usage for more than 200 years. The Penang Waterfall may only continue to serve us as a vital raw water resource if we continue to protect and cherish the rainforests in the WCA upstream.
