As the second-largest city in the country (with around 200,000 inhabitants) and the largest city on the Adriatic coast, Split is a city full of history and culture. In its history, the city has been under Roman, Venetian, Austrian, French, Italian, and Yugoslavian rule.

Full of historic buildings & structures, Split's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a key point for a city tour.

Walking through Split and its ruins is like traveling back in time!
Perhaps that's why the city was one of the favorite locations for recording the award-winning series: Game of Thrones.
