Combi, a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, enlisted the expertise of their team of electrical and mechanical engineers to create a one-of-a-kind end of line packaging system. This custom solution, designed for an agricultural chemical company with an extensive line of products, helped improve production efficiency in their packaging process.
The solution includes two Combi Alphapack Pick and Place Case Packers with integrated case erectors, and a palletizing cell using a FANUC M-410iC robot. Engineered to pick, pack and palletize numerous products and cases of various sizes and shapes.
Speed - 11 cases/minute top speed.
Labor- Originally had two to three people on the line. Now, one person manages and operates the line, and the other employees were reallocated to different tasks.
Improvements over the old system - Compared to the previous all-manual system, the new automation line has increased speed by 20%.
