Following a points failure at Dingwall Canal junction, the gaurd went to use the phone to contact Network Rail to notify them of the problem. The train was 158710 heading to Kyle of Lochalsh, which is known as the "branch" line. Engineers were on site in a matter of minutes and the train got underway around 30 minutes late. 19/08/18
