This is a multi-part tutorial on Max For Live, the visual programming language to program your own instruments, midi and audio effects for Ableton Live.

In the first episode I show you where to find Max For Live plugins and how to use them. I explain the difference between instruments, audio and midi effects and give you an overview of where to find and download them on the Internet. I will also show you how to open and edit MaxForLive effects with the Max software from Cycling74.

In the further episodes of this series for Max For Live I explain to you how you can use the language Max For Live to program your own effects and instruments.

With Max For Live you can build your own sampler, drum synth, arpeggiator, step sequenzer, synth and create your own visuals for Max For Live. You find MaxForLive in The Suite Version of Ableton 10.
