Cristie Bare Metal Restore (TBMR) integrates with Spectrum Protect to provide rapid bare metal recovery of machines, including operating system, applications and data, directly from their backups, without having to create another copy of the system files.

Recoveries can be made to virtual or cloud machines, or to physical hardware, from IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM).

This video includes a short introduction to how TBMR works with Spectrum Protect, and then a demo of setting up TBMR and doing an actual recovery via Virtual appliance. The virtual appliance is a new browser based intuitive front end for the suite of software products available from Cristie and resold through IBM Passport Advantage.
