Cenote Dos Ojos (Two Eyes Cenote) is one of the most extravagant diving sites in the Yucatan peninsula. It is also one of the largest underwater cave systems.
It is named like that because of the two sinkholes of 70 meters in diameter connected by a 400 meter long passageway.
There is more natural light here, thus it is a great place for everybody.
The visibility through the water is amazing and snorkelling as well as diving can be practiced.
Dos Ojos is the location of the deepest known underwater cave passage at a 118 meter depth. The whole cave system is at least 61 km long.
Bat Cave Line has the same entrance as the Barbie Line, but the line quickly turns on the other direction and leads to the Bat Cave dome, where divers can enjoy an amazing sight of hundreds of bats nesting within superb and fragile white stalactites. The decoration are white, thinner and more fragile that the rest of the cave. The cavern is extremely decorated and the bottom is often covered with fragile chips of calcite, which should not be disturbed, a good control of buoyancy is very important.
