What is the dark universe? How can we explore it? In this video, we will introduce you to Euclid, a space telescope developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Euclid Consortium. Euclid will embark on a journey to the dark side of the cosmos, where most of its contents are invisible and mysterious. It will map the shapes, positions, and distances of billions of galaxies across more than 10 billion years of cosmic history. It will measure how fast the universe is expanding and how fast structures are growing. It will test our theories of gravity and cosmology on the largest scales ever observed.
