Video by Robin Wallace. At 4pm the Orange order passed up the Crumlin road protected by the PSNI.
The Ardoyne residents group had planned a counter march at 5.30, but this was delayed as the PSNI had the locals blocked with riot police and armoured vehicles. Shortly after 5.30pm, the Ardoyne residents marched down the crumlin road and were met with hundreds of Orange Order supporters shouting insults and throwing rocks at their peaceful march. Once the ardoyne residents had passed down the Crumlin road, the PSNI forced the residents and trapped them in their own neighborhood. Extreme violence, CS gas and rubber bullets were used on the catholic residents, nothing was used against the protestants.
